Growing up in Newton, it’s been a blessing to experience animals of all shapes and sizes. My baby photos have pictures of my kitten Patches on my high chair and there are pictures of horses in my back yard from back in the day! Dogs and cats, especially, have been ingrained in my life from the very beginning. However, there are many people that love animals just as much as I do, so what makes Blue Skies Pet Care the right choice for you and your furkids?

We Love Animals. It’s our job. Literally. It’s also our only one.

Is your dog on a set potty schedule? Is your cat used to eating at a certain time? My schedule is not constrained by school, alternate employment, or transportation. Your dog care, cat care, and care for your other animals is what’s important to me. The length and time of visits are up to you!

One-on-one time is built in to your service, not extra.

Every pet is our priority. Is your dog a picky eater on his best day? Many of my clients tell me their dog absolutely will not eat without them there, only to discover that they just want someone to sit with them for a little bit so they can feel a little love. Is your kitty scared of storms? I’ll be their quiet companion to ride it out. If that means staying a little longer with a picky eater or making a quick visit to make sure a scaredy cat is tucked in for the night, I’m more than happy to do it!

Flexibility is our middle name

Plans change. Things come up suddenly. I’m ready to check in on your dog for some doggy daycare time or cat visit at a moment’s notice.

I know how to follow your instructions. After all, who knows your pet’s likes, dislikes, and routine better than you? I am also easy to spot with my Blue Skies Pet Care shirt.

I have already mentioned a lifetime spent with animals. I am constantly building on that experience. I have learned about animals academically in college as a Psychology and Natural Sciences double major with emphasis in canine cognition, behavior, and evolution, as well as in the field as a trainer specializing in dogs with both broad and specific behavioral modification needs (such as food aggression). I can help you with your pet’s manners (sit, stay, down, loose leash walking, etc) during regular visits, but also provide advice.
