We are committed to serving our community and are We are committed to serving our community and are absolutely thrilled to announce our partnership with @waalrescue in the Pets for Life Program! Our Head Trainer, Vanessa Hajek, recently taught a five-week Basic Manners class within the Planeview community, assisting five families in learning basic manners with their dogs. The Pets for Life program, launched in January of 2023, aims to bridge the gap between systemic inequality and equality for all pet related areas. As the only rescue in Kansas offering this program, Wichita Animal Action League focuses on building trust and relationships between pets and their owners by providing accessible and free resources. In addition to teaching practical skills, our classes also emphasize the importance of positive reinforcement and science-based training methods. These approaches not only foster a deeper bond between pets and their owners, but also promote behaviors that contribute to a harmonious community. We are excited to build these relationships in our community, and are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference.
