Blue Skies Pet Care has been Newton’s favorite pet sitter and dog walker for a decade now. Although this year has been nothing like we expected (#IsIt2021Yet) , this is an important milestone and we wanted to mark our ten year anniversary in some way.
And so… we are excited to announce that we are now offering in-home pet dog training. Yes, that’s right. In-YOUR-home pet dog training.
At this time, we’ll focus on two programs: Private Dog Training and Homeschool Dog Training. We are initially offering in-home services in three areas: basic manners to set you and your dog up for an enjoyable life together, loose leash walking for dogs that are chronic pullers, and potty training consults. More services will come in time!
Private Training
Most group dog training classes meet once a week, go over set behaviors, and then send class homework with you. Private training, like a large group-class setting, focuses on giving you the tools you need to train your dog. However, one-on-one private coaching allows you and your dog to work at your own pace, at a time that works for you, with fewer distractions keeping you from taking full advantage of your in-person time with your dog training coach. Ask us all the question you need and receive direct support.
Homeschool Dog Training
Homeschool Dog Training takes private training two steps further. We hands-on train your dog. This has been requested by dog owners the world over! We want to set you and your dog up for a WIN and homeschool (or “day training”) is as close to an “easy” button as you can get.
We will also provide the information and support you need throughout the program so you can take that training and continue encouraging positive, lifelong behaviors.
House Training Consultations
For many pet owners, this is the #1 issue they want to resolve RIGHT. NOW. If this is you, we have a one-time consult package made for you and your dog. We come to you, discuss your specific situation, make a plan, and are available for support for the next month as your dog learns to follow house rules.
A little bit about the trainer:
Ashley has been training dogs in one form or another for over a decade. Her first adult experiences were as a college student as a Psychology major focussing on animal behavior, a dog training and behavior modification internship post-graduation, followed by hundreds of hours working with dogs of varying temperaments on basic manners and behavior modification since. Throughout the years, she has learned different techniques and honed in on effective, relationship-building, science-based methods to bring to YOU.
